Yes Each team during the fall is sponsored by a local company/organization. The cost to sponsor a team is $250 and if you sponsor your team your more worthy child. Please contact email@example.com for more information in becoming a sponsor.
6. What if my child hasn't played before?
We attempt to balance teams by age, gender and skill level although that is a very difficult process; however there are kids of all skill levels on each team. Coaches strive to help each player achieve his/her potential and to instill the concept of teamwork in all.
7. Can I request that my child be placed with a friend?
Yes, there is a place on the registration form application where the parent can request a friend or coach.
8. Where do you get the coaches?
Coaches are primarily parents who volunteer to coach, and who may or may not have soccer experience. If you wish to volunteer please select volunteer coaching during the registration process or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details. Each coach will undertake a criminal background check prior to the season opening. We provide a clinic to new coaching staff prior to the beginning of the season.
9. When are the practices?
The coach determines the time and place of the practice. Typically, each team will practice one night a week during the season. The U4 & U6 teams do not practice.
10. What does my child need?
Every player receives a uniform shirt but must provide own shorts, socks, shin guards and soccer ball. Soccer ball sizes as follows;

U8 & U10 - Size 4
U12 & U14 - Size 5
11. When does registration close?
Over the past number of years BYSA has over 500 children registering for the Fall program, so organizing teams, finding coaches, establishing schedules, and ordering uniforms is a huge task. Therefore registration will close on Tuesday July 31st. After that time we will still accept late registrations however a late fee of $5 per child is charged.
12. What if I miss a practice or a game?
Both games and practices are important, but they do not take precedence over family obligations such as religious holidays and/or an occasional weekend away. While it is important to attend all the activities when possible, BYSA fully understands that this is a recreational league. Please give your coach the courtesy of a heads-up if your child must miss a practice or a game.
